The Sport Supplement, an electronic document, is a publication of the United States Sports Academy. It is designed to further knowledge about issues of sport, fitness and health for professionals as well as anyone seeking knowledge and information in this field.

The Academy has partnered with Worldteam, a sports management company in Beijing, to produce a Chinese-language version of the The Sport Supplement. The new publication titled, Sports Fortune, reaches millions of readers in China. Worldteam is China’s largest organized amateur basketball league, with an astounding 150,000 players competing in 188 cities each year.

Publication Information

  1. The Sport Supplement will be published quarterly on the World Wide Web here, at http://www.sportsupplement.org/.
  2. Each edition of the sport supplement will contain approximately 8 -10 articles of interest plus short pieces from the quarter's news sources.
  3. Content will be of a general nature for the sports professional and general reader.
  4. The Sport Supplement will be advertised through the Academy's Web site.
  5. Letters will be sent to all members of the National Academy encouraging them to submit articles. Newsworthy feature articles that are timely and deal with current topics of interest and that spark discussion are very appreciated.
  6. Letters will be mailed to academic libraries introducing them to the Sport Supplement.
  7. Archives will be indexed and maintained on the World Wide Web.

Submission Information

  1. The Sport Supplement welcomes articles from the sport reading public, and especially any short piece of general interest that warrants sharing with other sport information enthusiast.
  2. Articles should basically be between 300 to 500 words. Short pieces can be anywhere from one paragraph to a page. We reserve the right to edit and reduce incoming material.
  3. Please submit articles via e-mail or general mail. We welcome information about a subject, which can be researched into a timely article.
  4. Submissions of information should be edited and well thought out for content and grammar.
  5. We will return articles, which are not accepted for publication.

REPRINT PERMISSION

The Sport Supplement often receives requests to reprint articles. The editorial board is pleased to extend the reach of the supplement’s content. If you seek permission to reprint an article from The Sport Supplement, please print the PDF form below, fill out the information and fax it to the United States Sports Academy. Subscription Information

  • The Sport Supplement does not have a subscription fee, but the Academy retains the right to set a fee when it desires.
